Visual Studio For Mac Looks Different

Posted on

Hi, Quick question about appearance customizations in PowerPoint. I have 2 Mac Laptops running the same version of Mojave, same version of PowerPoint (16.19 on a 365 subscription). Yet.each laptops' PowerPoint looks different. The ribbon icons are different for the same items and have a black outline/flat appearance on one (see below).

It's not really causing a problem, I just can't for the life of me figure out what appearance customization is in play to create the difference. I'd appreciate some help figuring this out!

Visual Studio For Mac Looks Different

Visual Studio Code is a completely different product when compared to Visual Studio, with emphasis in just writing the code instead of dealing with debugging, compiling, testing, refactoring, and all the other things that make Visual Studio great (and memory consuming). Visual Studio Code is free and available on your favorite platform - Linux, macOS, and Windows. Download Visual Studio Code to experience a redefined code editor, optimized for building and debugging modern web and cloud applications. Go to Preferences > User Settings. (Alternatively, Ctrl +, / Cmd +, on macOS) Then you can type inside the JSON object any settings you want to override. User settings are per user.

[PII is removed by Alex Chen MSFT Support]. Hi Mark, Thanks for your query in this community. The reason for appearance of your PowerPoint for Mac are different is because. This new appearance is slowly rolling out, and all the Office 365 subscriber will get it eventually. But unfortunately, for now, this appearance can’t be changed in preference.

If you prefer the icon look in your first screenshot, we would suggest you vote for in Office 365 uservoice, which is a specific platform for us to collect user's request. Your suggestion will help us improve our Products and give users a better experience. Your understanding is highly appreciated. Regards, Alex Chen. Mac pro for sell.
