Hello All, I am trying to work out how to supress a line field in the mail merge from being displayed in the event it has no associated data. Specific example. I have an aged debtors list in numbers going back 9 months lets say Jan-September. When I do the merge I get blank spaces for accounts that had no data say in months Jan-July leaving an unsightly space followed by the invoices from August at the bottom of the page.

Thanks everyone, problem sorted. That is right Barry, there are 12 fields for each month with amounts and payments - so 48 fields in all with many empty. I finally solved this (as suggested by Yvan but I did not fully understand his comment at first) using brute force by replacing the 12 month fields (Jan-Dec) with First Invoice Date, Second Invoice Date etc. And built a separate Numbers table extracting just the pertinent data starting from the first invoice date, and following sequentially on by date. It would be so useful to have checkbox option on the merge command that just says: If data field is empty suppress line entirely leave blank field in place. Message was edited by: thomasthetomcat.
